Candidiasis = Migraines
BACKGROUND

OTHER SYMPTOMS
Occasional constipation, irritability when missing a meal, and insomnia

LIFESTYLE
Ashley does very little exercise but has a pretty good diet and drinks mostly water.

FINDINGS
Candida Albicans sensitivity, Vitamin B1 and trace mineral need, hormonal imbalances, and postural misalignments. Ashley's total score on her Health Assessment was a 48 out of 560, with the greatest scores in the blood sugar and female sections.

TREATMENT (see: Dr. Monk's Candida Protocol)

  • Lifestyle: A special anti-candida diet for three weeks; and aerobic exercise to encourage a fat-burning metabolism.

RESULTS
Ashley was seen for a total of seven visits for her main complaints and now returns monthly for wellness visits. The migraines were completely gone when the next cycle came around. Some mild headaches continued to persist much less frequently for eight weeks, until they too subsided completely. Although, not mentioned on her health assessment as a problem, Ashley also stated that she felt much more energetic and that it was easier to get motivated in the morning.

COMMENTS
Candida did not seem like a problem from the history and the health assessment. However, it did show up through testing and so needed to be addressed. Often it is easy to push the liver too hard when adding additional hormones to the system. So, despite the migraines being related to hormonal imbalances, I chose to eliminate the Candida first to see if by doing so, the hormonal imbalances would regulate. The addition of the B-Complex #1 with a high level of thiamin, also helped with blood sugar imbalances. Thankfully, the right pot-holes were fixed and Ashley responded extremely well.
