BACKGROUND
William, a 56 year old computer engineer, complained of a chronic cough that occurs dozens of times per day and has done so for 18 months. The cough is mostly dry with occasional mucous. It is also worse when he lies down a night. 18 months prior William was sick for two weeks with what was diagnosed as the flu. After one week of being sick he was prescribed antibiotics. He gradually felt better, but the cough never fully went away.
OTHER SYMPTOMS
None
LIFESTYLE
William travels extensively inside and outside of the country. He eats well and exercise by running or riding on the stationary bike two or three times a week.
FINDINGS
A standard evaluation was performed and no infections were found. Then, William was asked to cough and attempt to bring up any sputum he could from his lungs. A small amount of clear liquid was obtained. A positive test was discovered over his upper lungs with the liquid. William's total score on his Health Assessment was an 18 out of 560.
TREATMENT
- Neurological - Desensitization with cold laser over specific acupuncture points and the lungs.
- Lifestyle: Continue as normal
RESULTS
William's cough began to improve after three days. He needed three and a half bottles of the berbercap to completely eliminate the cough.
COMMENTS
This was an interesting case where a very healthy man had a persistent organism of some kind (probably bacterial) that found a home in his lung tissue and was not interested in leaving. If the specific irritant or organism is found, the correct antidote can be taken and a desensitization treatment can be performed, all of which have a great impact on chronic conditions. In this case, I could not find a matching organism so a fluid sample was obtained. Mucous and stool can often be used as samples when necessary.
