Disc Bulge - Neck Pain
BACKGROUND
Bernice, a 54 year old waitress, presented with complaints of severe pain on the bottom of her right foot that has been present for over six months. She states that after standing on her foot for more than twenty minutes she will begin to limp from the pain. Acupuncture treatments for two months had been unsuccessful.

LIFESTYLE
Bernice works on her feet ten to twelve hours a day, four days a week. Her diet contains whole foods as well as processed foods. She drinks only water, tea or coffee.

OTHER SYMPTOMS
Neck stiffness, mid-back stiffness and allergies to oak pollens.

FINDINGS
Bernice has several subluxations in the bones of her feet (Navicular, calcaneus, and second metatarsal). Her peroneus tertius (outer leg muscle) was weak as well as her extensor digitorum (big toe extensor).

TREATMENT
Structural: Adjustments of the subluxated bones of her feet. General spinal corrections and muscle rebalancing.

Chemical: Essential fatty acids and Betaine Hydrochloride for digestive support and as an anti-inflammatory aid.

Lifestyle: Daily foot soaks and foot rehabilitation exercises.

RESULTS
Bernice had no pain in her foot after three visits.

COMMENTS
Bernice could have been a much worse case because her job did not allow her to rest her feet. Thankfully, because the main cause of her pain were misaligned bones, putting them back in their proper position removed the pain and restored proper function. Some patients may require new shoes or even orthotic supports.
