BACKGROUND
Elizabeth, a forty one year old psychologist and mother of two children, complained of a number of blood sugar-related problems including the following if she missed a meal: lightheadedness, irritability, fatigue, confusion and occasional headaches. She states that she has experienced these symptoms for several years. There is a history of diabetes in her family on her mother’s side.
LIFESTYLE
Elizabeth drinks coffee every morning and usually has some sort of carbohydrate for breakfast such as cereal or toast. Other meals are more balanced with proteins, fats and carbohydrates. She does eat processed foods regularly as well as whole foods like fruits and vegetables. Exercise is in the form of weekend activity such as hiking or riding her bike.
OTHER SYMPTOMS
Menstrual irregularities, occasional, dull lower back pain, occasional constipation.
FINDINGS
Nutritional deficiencies, pelvic misalignments, muscular imbalances, meridian imbalances.
TREATMENT
Structural: Pelvic and cranial adjustments.
Chemical: A combination supplement for the pancreas: vanadium, chromium, Thiamin (B1); essential fatty acids for overall nutritional balance; adrenal glandulars for hormonal support; magnesium citrate for mineral balance; and herbs to soothe the digestive system; herbs for the liver to encourage hormonal detoxification.
Reflexes: Spleen/pancreas neurolymphatic; rebalancing of the pancreas meridian.
Lifestyle: Dietary changes including: protein with every meal; significant reduction in processed foods especially at breakfast and at dinner; aerobic exercise to encourage a fat-burning metabolism.
RESULTS
After four days Elizabeth reported that her lightheadedness and irritability were greatly improved. After one month she no longer experienced any headaches. A follow-up at six months revealed that her menstrual cycles were, “normal” for the first time in many years.
COMMENTS
It is more and more apparent that adult onset diabetes is the result of wrong choices over many years. Hypoglycemia is one of the first signs of future trouble. Thankfully, Elizabeth, like thousands of patients who have undergone NK Therapies, is no longer on that degenerative path.
